twoapennything: "Dear Boss" Letter from Jack the Ripper to Scotland Yard - 1888 (Bush and Saddam)
[personal profile] twoapennything
I'm waiting for The Wire finale to convert from .avi to .mp4, so while I'm doing that I'll fill out this meme. Gakked from [ profile] piperki:

1. Did you date someone from your school?

A couple guys, yeah.

2. Did you win anything in Senior's Who's Who?

We didn't have that at my high school. But I did win some academic awards (English, Latin and Music, if I recall correctly).

3. What kind of car did you drive?

Being away at school, literally in the middle of nowhere, precludes the need for cars. We weren't allowed to keep them on campus. When I was at my mom's house, I drove a Honda Accord. When I was at my dad's house I drove a nicer car than a Honda Accord.

4. It's Friday night...where r u at?

In the Commons, dancing my ass off or in the Horsecollar Theatre watching a movie or some student-run production. We used to have a lot of dances in high school, and I always loved them. They were casual and just a lot of fun.

5. Were you a party animal?

Actually, not really. Everytime I did party, though, I ended up raging drunk, puking all over the place and telling whatever guy I liked at the time that I LOVED HIM OMG YES!!!! Oh, and suspended.

6. Were you considered a flirt?

I doubt it.

7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?

8. Were you a nerd?

9. Did you get suspended/expelled?

See question 5.

10. Can you sing the fight song?

We didn't have a school song, but I do remember some of our cheers!

11. Who were your favorite teachers?

I loved Ms. Hartzell (French), Ms. Lindberg (Humanities) and Mr. Smith (Choir)

12. Where did you sit during lunch?

With my friends. We didn't have the typical weird lunchroom-clique vibe going on at my high school. People just sat wherever, really.

13. What was your school's full name?

O! R! M! E! Who ya rootin' for? O! R! M! E! A little louder now. . . See Question 10

14. School mascot?

Question 10 again.

15. Homecoming court?

We had one, yes. Was I on it? Not that I recall!

16. If you could go back and do it again, would you?

Yeah, definitely! Those were good times :D

17. What do you remember most about graduation?

That my father didn't come.

18. Where did you go senior skip day?

Up creek

19. Have you gained some weight since then?

No. No, not at all. In fact, I'm 30 pounds less than I was in high school. Oh, fuck off. Honestly!

20. Who was your Senior prom date?

Some freshman guy named Ian. We all took freshmen to the prom!

21. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion?

Missed both my 10 year and my 20 year. Maybe I'll try to make it to my 25th.

22. Who was your home room teacher?

We didn't have homeroom.

23. Who will repost?

Feel free!

24. Did you play any sports?

Yeah, soccer, tennis and cheerleading. My senior year I played volleyball -- my god, did I suck.

25. Do you still talk to people from school?

I do!

26. What year did you graduate?

So - you went to a boarding school?

I had both parents at my high school graduation but my mom didn't come to my college grad.

Your icon cracks me up. :D

I did, yes.

For some reason, high school grad was more important to me than college. He didn't come to either one, but it was high school that bothered me.

Heh, thanks!

You graduated high school the year I was born!

18. Where did you go senior skip day?
Up creek

What's this creek you went up?

1987 was an excellent year! I remember it, and that era, vividly.

There was a creek that went by the school. It had up creek and down creek, which only referred to particular directions relative to the campus itself. So, on senior skip day I went up creek . . . as opposed to down creek. I'm sure that clarified things TONS, yes? ;) I don't know quite else how to explain it. I will say that going either up or down creek usually involved surreptitious behavior.

Yes, up creek is tantalizingly vague. Did you have a paddle?

Thank you folks! I'll be here all week.

Read my reply to Anne-Cara above re: the nebulous destination that is known as up creek . . . *remains mysterious* ;)

*golf claps*!!!!

Ooo, icon!love . . . I see your Hedwig and raise you a Tommy Gnosis.

I was hoping for a better reception than a golf clap.

Hedwig is one of my six and only six icons.

Here's revolver.

Your revolver is no match for my Dalek!

But the revolver is real, though admittedly without flashing lights and a blue something-or-other.

I offer my knife in lieu of my Dalek...

And Ron/Pansy.

Now you've got them all in one convenient location for easy reference.

I think this is the only Harry Potter icon I have on this journal . . . and it is an election year, after all.

He'd be better than Bush, anyway.

I think I need a Ron/Hermione icon, or more icons in general.

I love icons. It's the best thing about LJ.

Oh, I have the Ron/Pansy icon, too! I just found it...

I think I'm the best thing about LJ. But then I'm feeling pretty egotistical tonight. Icons can be second best, if you want.

Everything's about me me me me me me me me me me...

It's actually a dark blue, though it's hard to tell.
