So, two things.

One, The Cure concert was amazing. Just amazing! I had such a good time. I was waaaaaaay up in the nosebleed seats, but no matter! The set was amazing; they did four encores; I heard everything I wanted to hear. I can now die knowing my life is complete.

Two, I, of course, purchased concert wear, and for the first time in many many years I was able to buy two items in just a regular XL . . . AND THEY FIT. They fit normally. In fact, they're kind of baggy. Anyhow, I got this hoody and this shirt (but as a tank top) Where will I wear them? Probably at home. I just can't resist band paraphernalia and whatnot.

*blinks*

I had what I would call a mini plateau for about six weeks. Then, suddenly, I dropped fifteen pounds in two weeks. Hey, I'm not complaining. Nope, no siree bob.

Wasn't it incredible??? I just was in awe. I mean, The Blood??? That knocked me over. I was also just out of this world to hear If Only Tonight We Could Sleep live.

I looked for you, but in the sea of people, I failed to find you, alas.

And Killing An Arab! *FLAILFLAIL*

It was such a lovely night :D

Yeah, I was the person wearing WHITE in row 53 or whatever, reading a book! (I came prepared, ready to wait out the first band until The Cure came on... the first band was okay, but they certainly weren't the reason I was there)

I remember the first time I was able to do that. Isn't it AWESOME??? I'm still wearing XLs in concert t-shirts, but most of them are a bit baggy now. And you know what? I DON'T CARE. The fact that I can even WEAR concert t-shirts at all is so amazingly wonderful... I'll take it!

It's weird how that happens, but it does seem to go that way at times. I had that happen a number of times too.

*HUGS*

I have quite a few t-shirts from concerts, that I bought and thought, well, maybe someday! And they never got worn because they were all too tight. Now they're baggy!

I'm pretty sure my plateau was due to all the stress I'd had over the past couple of months -- I was carbing out and was able to put in enough calories to maintain/lose very slowly. However, my diet improved in April, and whoosh! Off the weight came. I am approaching One-der-land!

Are you feeling better now, dear?! ♥

I was going to come look for you down there, but I figured I'd burst a lung trying to get back up all those goddamned stairs, lol!

I'm sure that part of the problem was your injury and the pain from that, too. All sorts of things can cause a plateau.

But, OMG, I saw a pic of Carnie Wilson on TMZ today... dude, she's gained a tremendous amount of weight. I swear, it was like an icy cold jolt of fear seeing her like that... If I go back, I don't know how I could ever stand it. *terrified*

Really?? I haven't seen that, but all I can say is that I've met the woman - and she's dumber than a box of rocks. I DO think that having a brain helps, because if you don't have enough sense to do the things you need to to take care of yourself... well. I wouldn't let her get to you.
But I do understand. Just don't let that overtake you - it won't do you any good. *hugs*

I'm glad you had a good time. Wouldn't expect The Cure to be anything less than amazing.
And congrats on your weight loss!
