boingboing_net: Rankin, photographer and founder of Dazed and Confused magazine, created an incredible photographic series of more than a dozen decontextualized irises. Scrolling horizontally back and forth across these images is quite trance-inducing. The project is called Eyescapes. LINK
I think this decontextualized iris most closely resembles my eye color, as my shade of blue is very dark.
