I think that flats are a good choice for persons like myself, who are short. If you buy the right kind, they can be extremely versatile and rather Audrey Hepburnesque, which is always FTW. IMO, the thing about getting flats is to purchase really excellent, stylish pairs that are hip fashion statements (without being nutty) in their own right. You know, I think taller, thinner women just look better in high heels. I always feel silly and out of my element in heels, although that's maybe because I've never EVER owned a pair that fit and didn't kill my feet.
