FASHION QUESTION

So, I have this dress in black:

I hate my upper arms, so I have this really cute black cardigan that will go over the top of the dress . . . but, can I wear these awesome, rich scarlet/wine tights that I have with black heels? I know monochromatic is always considered the best choice, but I don't want to be dressed in black from head to toe.
Or, should I wait and get a different-colored sweater and go with monochromatic on the black? This has been bothering me all day.
FWIW, I'm thinking of going for the scarlet tights, but I can take the WTFness if that would be horrific.

Date: 2007-10-29 04:45 am (UTC)It isn't that it will look bad to wear the colored tights. It's more that it will make you look shorter, because it will interrupt the line of your leg. So the sleekness you get from the wrap dress will end at its hem. At the very least, matching your tights to your shoes continues the line to the floor.

If you are currently blonde, I think it would wash out your coloring unless you add a lil' sumpin' sumpin'.
If you go that route, do you have a pretty scarf or some colorful jewelry that could break things up?
